Campaign Story

My name is Emma, and last September I married my best friend, Peter. We were so excited to start building our family that we began trying for a baby right away. At my pre-conception appointment, my OBGYN recommended an ultrasound because she suspected something might be wrong. The results were devastating. Both of my fallopian tubes were completely blocked with fluid, meaning I would never be able to get pregnant naturally. After meeting with a fertility specialist, we learned that the only path forward would be surgery to remove both tubes, follow by IVF. Peter and I have struggled to process this heartbreaking news, but we are determined to keep moving forward and do everything we can to have a child together. Unfortunately, the financial burden of IVF is a significant barrier standing in the way of that dream. By sharing our story and asking for help, we hope to raise the funds needed to pursue treatment. If our one round of IVF is unsuccessful, we hope to pursue adoption—but we know that path can also come with significant costs. No matter what happens, we are committed to growing our family and are incredibly grateful for any support, encouragement, or help along the way.
